About the Role
The Solar Site Engineer supports safe, accurate, and timely execution of residential and commercial rooftop solar projects. You will coordinate site surveys, installation teams, vendors, customers, and internal design teams from pre-installation assessment through commissioning and handover.
Responsibilities
- •Conduct site surveys covering roof dimensions, shadow conditions, load details, cable routes, earthing, and structural constraints.
- •Coordinate installation schedules, manpower, materials, safety practices, and daily site progress.
- •Verify module layout, mounting structure, DC and AC cabling, inverter placement, protection systems, and earthing against approved drawings.
- •Prepare site reports, measurement records, snag lists, commissioning documents, and project handover inputs.
- •Support net-metering inspections, customer walkthroughs, troubleshooting, and post-installation service visits.
- •Escalate safety, quality, material, or schedule risks promptly to the project manager.
Requirements
- •Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Civil, or Renewable Energy engineering.
- •1-4 years of relevant experience in rooftop solar, electrical projects, EPC execution, or field engineering.
- •Working knowledge of solar modules, inverters, mounting structures, electrical protection, earthing, and basic single-line diagrams.
- •Ability to travel regularly across Noida, Delhi NCR, and nearby project locations.
- •Clear communication, documentation discipline, and ownership of on-site safety and quality.
Nice to Have
- •Experience with residential subsidy or DISCOM net-metering projects.
- •Familiarity with AutoCAD drawings, generation monitoring portals, and testing instruments.
- •Two-wheeler and a valid driving licence.
