Installation and Safety

The installation controls that protect people, equipment and the property.

  • Use manufacturer-approved cables, connectors, fuses, isolators and communication wiring.
  • Protect batteries from heat, direct sun, water entry, impact and unauthorized access.
  • Provide ventilation where chemistry and manufacturer instructions require it.
  • Secure floor-standing or wall-mounted units to the specified supporting structure.
  • Do not mix battery chemistry, model, capacity, age or state of health unless explicitly permitted.
  • Label isolation points and provide an emergency response and shutdown procedure.

Documents and Handover

Records the customer should receive for operation, warranty and future service.

  • Battery datasheet, warranty terms, serial numbers and approved inverter pairing.
  • Usable-energy calculation and stated backup-load assumption.
  • Configured minimum state of charge, charge/discharge current and operating mode.
  • BMS communication status and commissioning screenshots.
  • Owner guidance for alarms, long shutdowns, storage conditions and warranty support.

Maintenance and Ownership

Practical checks that support safe operation and dependable long-term performance.

  • Monitor state of health, state of charge, temperature and repeated BMS alarms.
  • Keep the enclosure and surrounding area clean, dry and unobstructed.
  • Inspect cable connections and isolation equipment according to manufacturer guidance.
  • Review actual backup performance if loads or usage patterns change.
  • Have damaged, swollen, leaking, overheated or repeatedly faulting batteries inspected immediately.

Site-specific design required

Final selection should follow the site survey, load and outage profile, equipment datasheets, compatibility lists, warranty terms, utility requirements and applicable electrical-safety rules.
